#urbansoulfarmer grew out of a need to learn my culture and tradition through the migration of medicinal plants and spices. Urban Soul Farmer is also a platform that synthesizes wellness, art and nature. The aim is to sow seeds of wisdom about our past, present and future. Study, research, certifications, observation, workshops, community, interviews, and travel are all part of my process to create an experimental multimedia narrative about my ancestors. I am continuing as Blaqnomadtales to archive stories of healers, counselors, and underground artists of the African Diaspora. Our stories need to be told by us and preserved by us. The time is now. Art Play is an adult arts and crafts night I put together for fundraisers, good times and stress reduction. I am utilizing my love of art to help people and raise money to complete my travels for my documentary.  It was so much fun instructing people 21 to 65 paint their perception of the piece presented. Me and Mom (Kathy Bartney).  She took me to Europe as a child to persue her dreams as a singer Fascinating storytellers!  My grandmother at 16.  I was invited to share the shady areas of my family tree that I am most thankful for (hahaha) at a unique and charming night called Shaking The Tree in Highland Park. I was touched by the stories that we shared that night. I come from a family of writers, farmers and educators. My grandmother was the first Black teacher in Fortcobb, Oklahoma. My great, great uncle was the first Black cowboy to lead a parade. My cousin in the 1920's was a professor and invented a breed of cow. My mother was the first out of 8 children that followed her dreams and moved to Europe. I'm proud of my family and it is nice to know who my ancestors are and continue to be. My family always concluded we were mixed with Indian because of our hair type and our connection to Indian culture living in Oklaho...

What Does Piddle mean? Piddle can mean a lot of things. Piddle Productions is a multimedia hub for under-served communities. To our community of artists, free thinkers and leaders it means we will continuously express ourselves without limitation or boundaries. We are committed to experimenting with several forms of art in order to heal ourselves and our communities. The time we waste here is exploring new ideas that help humanity come together with art, wellness and understanding.   

My wish for you is to hug yourself and have as many deep belly laughs as possible. Forgive yourself for not being perfect. Surrender to listening and understanding experiences that are different than your own without judgement and changing people.  My wish for you is to dive deep into radical self love. If we don't take care of ourselves we can not help others effectively. Let go of who you think you are and step into the possibility of who you can become. Hello my loved ones! This is a painting I finished in the summer. It's vibrant and alert. It's a depiction of consistency and balance. Both definitions are valuable to any relationship including the one with your self. Your willingness to glide through the scary parts of life is the path towards perfection.  Society has found too many ways to repress, avoid, and numb out feelings. We are meant to grow in love and wisdom but with mental blockage it becomes a struggle. It's our responsibility to understand the root of our emotions. I know several people constantly walking around sad, bitter, angry and depressed. We can blame it on the television, the internet, or even our parents but at the end of the day you are in control of what you will put in your body, mind and spirit. I would like to thank everyone who has supported my chapbook Rage Love Complexity. I am truly blessed with the continuos sales. The purpose of my writing reflects how to ride life's thrashing waves of emotion. The darkness in the world comes from unresolved situations in our psyche. Guilt and shame  is secrecy, silence and lies.  Shame cannot survive empathy.  My purpose is to empower myself so I can help others reach their highest potential. I am touched when I perform my poetry and after the performance people are deeply moved. We may not all come from the same experiences but we can relate to pain and suffering which is a human condition.  Share your story with people who have the right to hear it. Those who are ready to heal will hear it. Evolution doesn't mean we came from monkeys. We have similar DNA but actually only share 95% with apes. If you don't read a book or a take a class you will believe all Hollywood movies. Evolution means working with nature so nature can give us health and abundance. Be revolutionary. Take your health back. Stop supporting companies that do not have your best interest. I often sit back and read the posts on my social sites to see what hot topic people are talking about next. It's interesting to hear different concepts and opinions on the same topic from people all over the map. Some comments are very ignorant and some very wise. Both useful.  I try to post things that excite me and topics I feel need more dialogue. It doesn't necessary mean I am for it or against it. Nonetheless, by all means I will always stand for love and the unification of humanity. There is enough darkness in the world that separates us by fear. It is toxic to feed into doubt and the insecurities of others.  The more tools we have to look at reality the more ways to lead to understanding.  We only see reality based on what we have been exposed to. We only see a fraction of the reality in front of us. Sometimes our shared reality is the biggest delusion of all. When we stay in our safe bubble we limit ourselves in knowledge and wisdom.  ...

I'm excited to announce my poetry chapbook Rage Love Complexity is on the shelf at Skylight Books in Los Angeles. The chapbook was said to be "clever and edgy" and it is an example of healing through raw emotion. It was also requested at a social work department at a university in Canada. Hello my beautiful people of the world!! I've been thinking how dreams, positive thoughts and visualization synchronize when you are ready to receive what the universe has already given you. There are times we may feel alone and hopeless but it is all an illusion. Everything works on a symbiotic system. Our greatest teacher is nature.We learn to understand faith and patience when we work in harmony. We can not hold on to patterns of thought that keep us from co creating. One man  / woman can not help everyone. It is unrealistic to think that one person can do everything alone. We must help each other to survive. Life is about thriving relationships and making connections. I am humbled and thankful for all the people I allow in my immediate circle. Only surround yourself with family and friends who vibrate from the same frequency. Surround yourself with people that are motivating and inspiring. Better yet, disciplined. We can't change the world. We are the world that needs a change. Strive to keep your mind, body and spirit balanced. The more we practice being centered the better we can help our neighbors. Imagine a ripple effect of goodness covering the earth.  Do not be an anticipant- someone who sits back anticipating for something good to happen. You have to participate in order to evolve. A person who identifies with doubt can get lost in contentment. Doubt and excuses are worldly illusion made by the ego.  Society is uncomfortable with emptiness, it sees it as a void.  Society suspects that gaining as much as you can will bring value and happiness.  Be simple. Take only what you need. Like quality friendships and wholesome foods. Loss is the doorway to connection. Let go... We don't need the new year for new beginnings.
