Grand Canyon and the Vortex

Greetings friends! Here I am sitting on top of a vortex in Sedona, Arizona. I decided to take a spiritual expedition to one of the wonders of the world, the grand canyon. To my surprise I discovered so much more. 8,000 feet up left me speechless and very emotional at first glance. I felt connected to the universe and it made me feel alive. I am piecing together a short film of my trip. I have memories to share, stay posted!
The vortexes in Sedona are swirling centers of subtle energy coming out from the surface of the earth. The vortex energy is not exactly electricity or magnetism, although it does leave a slight measurable residual magnetism in the places where it is strongest. There are four main energy vortexes in Sedona. The subtle energy that exists at these locations interacts with who a person is inside. The energy resonates with and strengthens the Inner Being of each person that comes within about a quarter to a half mile of it. This resonance happens because the vortex energy is very similar to the subtle energy operating in the energy centers inside each person. If you are at all a sensitive person, it is easy to feel the energy at these vortexes.

Spring Vigilance

Greetings loved ones, This picture reminds me of how connected we are with nature. The tree an extension of myself,  helping me stay balanced and grounded.  I'd like to share what I've been practicing in order to transform into my better self. Perhaps you will find something helpful that will further your inner journey as well.  Practice compassion for those who have separated themselves consciously. Start by forgiving yourself for not being perfect. Love individuals that are difficult to love. Not just particular people, do it without circumstance or demand. Remain vigilant and conscious. Stay present. Be impervious to negativity. Take accountability. Do your inner work. When you know yourself, you trust yourself. The more trust the more self love and self acceptance. Stay connected with nature. I enjoy going to the beach or sitting under a blanket of trees in my garden. Listen to the rhythm of nature. Nature moves with purpose. A vision pulls you forward. Don't...

I'm Reading at the Craft & Folk Art Museum

The CAFAM Shop is thrilled to introduce a new zine/small press section, curated by L.A. Zine Fest and The Pop-Hop . We're celebrating the launch of the new collaboration Saturday, April 18th, and you're invited. Work from The Blk Grrrl Show , John Pham, Yumi Sakugawa :: Comic Book Artist + Illustrator , Tiny Splendor , and Selfish. This is really exciting for me because I have been a zinester since 2010 with the launch of my Black Punk Rock themed zine "Abstract By Nature." I'll be there representing with the #blkgrrrl show and reciting a few of my poems from my chapbook "Rage Love Complexity."  Very honored to share the stage with Pam Ward and Teka Lark Fleming. I donated books and I will have chapbooks available at the Pop Hop in Highland Park, Ca. See you there, Zoe Blaq
This was an inspiring weekend for every type of writer who needs a little push. I had fun sharing my poetry with a talented group of Los Angeles poets at the annual LitFest Pasadena.
